Canada has played three matches during the ongoing World Cup group stage in Latvia.

Lönnlöven was zeroed against Latvia, went on a clear loss against the USA (1-5) and lost again today, this time against Germany.

The numbers were written to 3-1 in German favor, which means that Canada has scored two goals and conceded ten in its three initial group games.

Germany got off to a real dream start at this meeting and led 2-0 already after eleven minutes of play where they made it 1-0 and 2-0 with just under a minute between goals.

Stefan Loibl started the scoring before Matthias Plachta filled in.

"A huge disappointment"

Nick Paul received a significant reduction at the end of the first period and the remaining time after that was very much about Canada's hunt for a draw - which never came.

Canada wins the shots by 40-25 but only manages to score one goal.

- Canada is a huge disappointment for me.

They have nothing to do with the medal chances, probably not even in a playoff, says SVT Sports expert, Nils Ekman.

"Not skilled enough"

Korbinian Holzer was able to complete the bang by putting the final score 3-1 in the open box.

- They are not skilled enough to beat Germany with skill, says expert, Mikael Renberg.

The disappointment was felt by the Canadian team after the third straight zero points.

- We wanted to win the match, but now have three losses.

We can not blame anyone but ourselves and must win the remaining matches now.

We have had problems scoring goals.

Two goals in three matches despite the fact that we won the shots in all matches.

It is frustrating and we are annoying now but we have to look ahead, says Troy Stecher to SVT Sport.
