The Algerian star, Riyad Mahrez, raised the Palestinian flag alongside the Algerian flag, during his celebrations with his comrades in Manchester City by hoisting the Premier League shield.

Mahrez chose to raise the Palestinian flag in the middle of the Al-Ittihad Stadium, in front of the fans, who attended to celebrate the club's crowning of the league for the seventh time in its history.

This was not the first time for Mehrez to express his solidarity with the Palestinian people, and he had previously published a message of solidarity with the people of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood at the beginning of the recent events in Palestine.

Mahrez was among a number of Arab and international stars in the world of football, who sent messages of solidarity to the Palestinian people, after targeting worshipers in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and seeking to expel the residents of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, and the Israeli aggression that targeted the Gaza Strip recently.

By being crowned today, Mahrez raised his tally of titles in the English Premier League to 3, and is seeking to crown the highest club competition when he faces Chelsea in the Champions League final next Saturday.
