The Tokyo Olympics Holy Fire Relay was held only at the ignition ceremony in Okayama Prefecture on the 19th, and local figure skating players such as Daisuke Takahashi participated.

The torch relay in Okayama Prefecture was scheduled to connect 12 cities and towns with about 180 runners for two days from the 19th, but the relay on public roads was canceled due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

Instead, an ignition ceremony was held at Okayama Castle in Okayama City on the 19th, and a "torch kiss" was held in which the runners who were scheduled to run on the first day lined up in a row to transfer the torch.

Local Olympic athletes also participated, and Risa Shigetomo, the representative of the women's marathon at the London Games, and Daisuke Takahashi, the bronze medal of figure skating at the Vancouver Games, connected the torch.

Finally, Shinji Morisue, who won the gold, silver, and bronze medals at the Los Angeles Olympic Games, lit a large torch.

The torch relay in Okayama Prefecture will not be relayed on public roads on the 20th of the second day, and an ignition ceremony will be held at the central park in Tsuyama City.
