Mbappe dreams of participating in the Olympics and deepening the Saint-Germain crisis

The star of the French football team, Paris Saint-Germain, Kylian Mbappe, said that he dreams of participating with the French Olympic team in the upcoming Olympic Games in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.

Mbappe and the first French national team, World Cup holders, are currently preparing for the European Nations Cup (Euro 2020), which begins next month.

This matter would deepen the Saint Germain crisis, especially since the other Brazilian star Neymar decided to participate with his country's national team, which means the absence of the most prominent players from the team for more than a month at the start of next season.

While the French national team and coach Didier Deschamps are looking forward to European glory, Mbappe also expressed his desire to represent his country in the Tokyo Olympics, whose competitions begin next July.

"Everyone knows that I have always dreamed of participating in the Olympiad, and I hope to realize one of the dreams of my life," Mbabi, 22, said in statements to French television channel TF1.

And the French national team drew the lottery in the first group of Olympic soccer competitions with Japan, Mexico and South Africa.

Under the leadership of Sylvain Ripoll, coach of the Under-21 national team, the French Olympic team will start its Olympic campaign against its Mexican counterpart on July 22.

About his short-term goals, Mbappe said: "The goal is always the same - to try to win the European Championship to make the French people happy."

Mbappe added, "We have a team that can compete with it (the title). We always want to win, and if we win the championship, it will be very exciting."

He continued, "We will prepare well for the tournament, hoping to go far in it. We will try to return to France with the championship title."
