Dick Axelsson played for Huddinge in the hockey allsvenskan in the 2006/2007 season and was drafted by Detroit.

Since then, there have been games in the AHL, SHL, Swiss NLA and Tre Kronor.

A while ago it was clear that there will be no continuation in Djurgården where he played for three seasons.

Now the 34-year-old says that he is putting an end to his career.

- I feel that it is a good situation.

At the same time, it feels like I probably could have had a couple of good years in me.

But the motivation has not been at its peak, says Axelsson to Expressen.

Axelsson has one World Cup gold, two Swedish Championship golds and one gold in the Swiss league.
