The Tokyo Olympic torch relay was held in Shimane Prefecture on the 15th and 16th, and runners connected the torch in 14 municipalities in the prefecture.

The torch relay in Shimane Prefecture started in Oda City on the second day and traveled around seven cities and towns, mainly in the eastern part of the prefecture.



Of these, the relay in Izumo City started in front of Izumo Taisha Shrine, which is visited by many worshipers from all over the country, and 15 runners connected the torch.



At the subsequent torch relay in Unnan City, Ken Muramatsu, who continues to volunteer in disaster-stricken areas all over Japan, served as the first runner.



In the next Okuizumo town, 10 people, including players belonging to hockey teams such as local clubs and junior high schools, ran the course while turning one torch.



And in Matsue City, which was the last section, Shinsuke Kayama, who became the phantom representative at the 1980 Moscow Olympics, served as the last runner, and when he arrived at Matsue Castle in the goal, he lit the torch with a torch for two days. The torch relay is over.



The Tokyo Olympic Torch Relay will be held in Hiroshima Prefecture from the 17th.
