On the sidelines of Dynamo Dresden's home win against Türkgücü Munich, serious riots between fans and the police broke out in front of the stadium in Dresden this Sunday.

Supporters of the club attacked the police with pyrotechnics from the 70th minute of the game when the score was 3: 0 outside the stadium, threw glass bottles and bottles and tried to break the barriers with force, as a dpa reporter reported.

The police repeatedly asked the crowd to leave the premises and pushed the attackers back with water cannons and tear gas.

Individual rioters were arrested.

Several people were injured by flying objects and treated with lacerations in ambulances.

The police reported on Twitter that fans were partly masked and prepared to use violence and that they were constantly attacking the emergency services.

With the 4-0 win against Türkgücü, Dynamo made the direct return to the 2nd Bundesliga perfect.

A large contingent of the police had massively secured the last home game of the season before, so that there was no crowd of fans in front of the stadium.

The officers were among other things in action with a helicopter in order to be able to recognize feared accumulations early.

Although the club and Dresden's Lord Mayor Dirk Hilbert (FDP) appealed to supporters not to come to the stadium and stay at home, hundreds of fans gathered around the venue before kick-off.
