Professional baseball giant Shigeo Nagashima, Honorary Director for Life, visited the traditional match between Giants and Hanshin at Tokyo Dome today.
Mr. Nagashima visited the 2001 game of the Giants vs. Hanshin Tigers at Tokyo Dome, and watched the game at the official seats behind the back net.
And after the giant No. 4 Kazuma Okamoto hit the first home run in the second inning, he applauded and was delighted.
Mr. Nagashima has visited Tokyo Dome for the second time since the season opener on March 26th.
He then commented through the team, saying, "I still have a special feeling for the traditional match, the Hanshin Tigers. In the 1959 tournament, I was able to go around the goodbye home run and diamonds in front of His Majesty the Emperor. The excitement and cheers of that time will be revived. In the 1968 Hanshin Tigers, there was a dead ball incident between Bucky and Wang. When it comes to the rival Hanshin Tigers, I still feel passionate about it. This year's Hanshin has a new power of rookie Teruaki Sato and is strong. It is a formidable opponent, but my giant army is also strong enough. After all, professional baseball will be exciting if the giant and Hanshin are strong. As a rival, I hope that a new good match will be born. "
