Coach Thomas Tuchel has been angry about the use of the video assistant (VAR) after the 1-0 defeat of his FC Chelsea in the FA Cup final against Leicester City.

Shortly before the end of the game, he had denied the alleged equalizer for Chelsea because of an extremely narrow offside position, but had not previously intervened in an alleged Leicester handball.

"The players immediately said it was handball," said Tuchel on Saturday evening after the game at Wembley Stadium. "For the second time in a row there is handball to our disadvantage, and the VAR does not intervene." In the last Premier League game against Arsenal (0: 1), the Tuchel team unsuccessfully demanded that the video assistant be used becomes. "It was on the line against Arsenal, and again today, they're really crucial."

The 47-year-old did not want to blame his team.

"We are disappointed, but not angry about the performance of the boys," said Tuchel.

"I think the performance was good enough to win." In the second half, Chelsea controlled the game.

“We conceded a goal out of nowhere.

A fantastic goal and a lucky goal. ”Youri Tielemans (63rd minute) scored the winning goal for Leicester.

In the closing stages, Chelsea had the equalizer on the foot.

The strong Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel parried a shot from Mason Mount.

The supposed compensation by Ben Chillwell was denied by the video referee because of a minimal offside position.

"We have a chance from Mason and an offside goal that was very close," said Tuchel.

"We just had bad luck today."
