There will be no Olympics with the women's national team for Linda Sembrant, 34. The knee injury she sustained in yesterday's training against Juventus stops her.

SVT Sport expert Frida Östberg suffers with the midfielder, who could hardly have wished for a worse birthday present today.

- It is very boring for Linda herself and a big break for the women's national team.

She is an important piece on the defensive and has a strong leadership role in the team with her calm and her routine.

It is an incredible amount of experience you lose, says Östberg.

"Will be a challenge"

When it comes to replacements, the expert highlights a couple of potentials.

- Linda has a really good passing foot and is calm and safe to place.

That role is likely to fall a little more on Magdalena Eriksson.

Nilla Fischer is also likely to be close if she continues to show good form.

Then it's close for Amanda Ilestedt, but she is a different type of player, says Östberg and continues:

- It will be a challenge as Linda is the one who keeps the back line.

She gets those around her to collaborate, adapts very well for the group and for me she is a given starting player.

The Olympics begin for Sweden on July 21 against the United States.
