Pär Lindholm returned to Skellefteå from games in the NHL, just before the transfer window closed in February, and signed a four-year contract with the club.
But that agreement was only a few months old.
- Of course it is sad that Pär is leaving now but we wish him luck and he will come back, says Skellefteå AIK's General Manager, Erik Forssell.
Lindholm is currently playing with Tre Kronor in the Carlson Hockey Games, and is highly relevant for games in the World Cup.
Which new club address is waiting is not yet official.
