Jörgen Persson has taken out Anton Källberg as a complement to the world number eight and already managed Olympic player Mattias Falck in singles.

In the team competition, Falck and Källberg are joined by Kristian Karlsson and Jon Persson is a reserve on site.

- Other players in the men's squad, Truls Möregårdh and Elias Ranefur, can concentrate on competing for a place at the upcoming championships.

Both of these have the future ahead of them and are on the way up, Persson says in a press release.

Linda Bergström takes the Swedish place in singles in the women's tournament.

Stina Källberg, who barely fell in the European Olympic qualifiers earlier in the spring, will go to Tokyo as sparring for Linda Bergström.

- There is no doubt that we have a strong and competitive national team in the Olympic Garden this summer.

With the right draw and a bit of fluency, the men's team has a good medal chance and it will also be exciting to follow our singles players who all three show great respect.

If you look at the whole picture, especially with Truls Möregårdh on his way back after injuries, the Olympics in Paris 2024 will only become more and more interesting, says the table tennis association's sports director Mikael Andersson.
