While the seventh racket of the world Andrei Rublev continues to play at the tournament in Rome and prepares for Roland Garros, a scandal flared up around his mother, the famous coach Marina Marienko.

Her student Elena Malykh filed a complaint with the police, accusing the specialist of beatings and theft of personal belongings.

The 18-year-old athlete said that during one of the training sessions, Maryenko beat her with a racket.

According to Malykh, she did not give any reasons for such aggressive actions.

“It happened two days ago, on May 12.

There was a training session, the coach called me to her place, started calling me names, insulting me - swearing, without swearing, in different ways.

Then she didn't like how I react to it.

I just stood there and said nothing.

She ran up to me and hit my arm and body with a racket several times, ”said the tennis player to REN TV.

On this, according to Malykh, the incident did not end.

After that, Maryenko took her things and gave them only the next day.

The athlete wants this to not happen again, and therefore turned to law enforcement.

“I was shocked.

Said, "Can I get out of here already?"

I went to my bag, and the coach flew up, took the rackets and the phone from the bag and did not give them to me.

I asked for a phone number to at least contact my parents and go home.

She did not give it to me, returned it only the next day.

I haven't spoken to her, but I know she denies what she did.

I wrote a statement, it was accepted.

The only thing I want is to make it clear that you can't do that, that you won't get away with this and that it won't bring suffering and pain to others, ”said the tennis player.

Later, Malykh stated that at the tennis school of the Lokomotiv sports complex, where she works, the coaches are engaged in extortion, threatening students with expulsion if they refuse to bring money, although classes for them should be free.

“I behave adequately, I am a maximally non-conflict person, I didn’t interrupt trainings, I can’t even imagine how I should do it.

And training is usually thwarted by obscene expressions and insults from her.

The school is public and free.

Coaches extort money from parents in cash in an envelope.

If you do not pay, they are kicked out of the “public free” school, ”said the Sport24 tennis player.

Father Oleg Malykh also announced extortion.

He admitted that he reacted too late to his daughter's signals of harassment, when the situation was already out of control.

“I don’t know how this could have happened. Lena told me that there were calls, but I somehow reacted incorrectly to them. It seemed to me that maybe she embellishes. This is a sport. I constantly talked with the coaches, it was difficult to imagine such a thing, they are nice people. I didn't think it was that serious. She said that she was yelled at. I wasn’t there, I don’t know what “shouted” means, in what form it was. But it turned out that it was in an absolutely unacceptable form. The school is public, but we have such a practice that they take money. The trainers randomly assign the amount that you have to bring in a month. The child cannot go to school without this payment. It would be fine if it was a non-state school, ”said the tennis player's father.

Malykh has been playing tennis with Marienko for nine years.

At the moment, she occupies 685th place in the junior ranking of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and is the 70th athlete from Russia in it.

In junior tournaments under the auspices of the ITF, Malykh played 72 matches, in which she won 35 victories, but did not win a single title.

Maryenko is known in the world of tennis much more.

She brought up the former first racket of the world in doubles and two-time Australian Open champion Anna Kournikova, and also worked with Irina Khromacheva and Daria Gavrilova for some time.

For the success of her students, Maryenko received the title of Honored Coach of Russia.

She also brought Andrei Rublev to tennis, but did not train him on her own.

Maryenko denied the accusations against her. She said that there really was a conflict between her and Malykh because of training, but she did not resort to violence. She took the athlete's belongings in order to then hand them over to her parents.

“The girl lied to me. There was a working moment, she did not fulfill the coaching requirements. They began to talk to her, and she freaks out and leaves the training. I told her that she would leave only after dad took her, and the training was still going on. Physically, I did not hurt her, I have a whole group of children, a million people were there. At first we talked normally, then Elena began to behave inappropriately, to run away from the audience. I did not hit her with a tennis racket, and I left my equipment and phone for my father, because she was running away from the hall. Dad came and took everything, there were no problems. They also take things from schools when they misbehave, ”said Maryenko.

The coach believes that the scandal erupted due to the fact that she banned Malykh from participating in unsanctioned matches at night. At the same time, Marienko is not going to go to court and seek a refutation of the words said to her.

“The thing is, this kid is playing betting matches in some night league. We learned about this a long time ago, warned her that it was wrong, that they would immediately be kicked out of school for this. But she lied to me all the time. I apologized and then went there to play again. And when she was told that I would report this to the school administration, she did not like it. She freaked out and now, in revenge on me, she does all this, inflates a scandal. I will not go to court. They are already poor people, they wanted to get money from me, so that the conflict would not be inflated, so that she would stay at school. She writes that she has witnesses - what kind of witnesses? What? The one that I asked responsible for her actions? The fact that she freaked out and quit training? I had to call special services to check her psychological state. But why do I need this? " - said Maryenko.

The president of the Russian Tennis Federation Shamil Tarpishchev took the side of the coach.

He said that Maryenko could not afford to hit the student.

He described the small ones as a negligent athlete who does not follow the coaching guidelines and spends her energy on night matches.

“Malykh does not fulfill the requirements of the training process, plays in some kind of“ night league ”, does not speak with his father for six months.

Maryenko set a condition for her: either you work or we say goodbye - she started giving incomprehensible comments.

There is nothing behind this at all.

There was no beating - this is complete nonsense!

This is unrealistic!

Marina Maryenko is one of the best children's coaches in Russia.

What is happening now is nonsense!

I don’t even pay attention to it ”, - quotes Tarpishchev“ Championship ”.

He also said that usually young tennis players are not allowed to actively use mobile phones.

According to him, otherwise it would have a negative impact on the formation of an athlete.

“During training, we prohibit talking on the phone.

We do not select, but we prohibit.

In all world academies of the world, the phone and the computer are allowed to use no more than three hours a day, because the use of gadgets erodes the psyche, and a person simply cannot play.

Really the psyche goes, the attention sits down, what is the training process? "

- added Tarpischev.
