Jill Roord will play football for VfL Wolfsburg from next season.
The player of the Orange Women comes over from Arsenal and signed a contract for three seasons with the German top club on Monday.
24-year-old Roord strengthens the Dutch enclave near Wolfsburg, which will consist of five players after the summer.
Dominique Janssen and Shanice van de Sanden already play for the reigning German champion.
Joëlle Smits and Lynn Wilms will come over from PSV and FC Twente respectively after this season.
Although Roord still had an ongoing contract with Arsenal, for which she has been playing since 2019, the midfielder did not hesitate when Wolfsburg knocked.
"I want to take a step up and continue to challenge myself to become one of the best midfielders in the world," she says on the site of her new club.
"Wolfsburg expresses a lot of confidence in me and I feel that I can take the next step there."
For Roord, two-time Champions League winner Wolfsburg will not be her first club in Germany.
Between 2017 and 2019 she played for Bayern Munich, which took her over from FC Twente at the time.
Roord played 62 international matches for the Orange Women and scored ten times.
