Mia Eriksson has been plagued with injury problems in recent years and before the season that was, she had been away from competition for over 1.5 years.

Today she confirms, via her club Piteå Elit, that she is ending her skiing career.

- It has been a tough decision for me, but someday the saga will end.

I have had 10 great seasons with Piteå Elit and I will miss the riders and the club, says Mia Eriksson to the club's website.

In Piteå Elite, Eriksson has been a teammate with, among others, Charlotte Kalla, Jonna Sundling and Ebba Andersson.

On the merit list, she has several Swedish Championship medals and over 50 starts in the World Cup, of which eight are top ten places.
