United turned the tables on Aston Villa and postponed City's crowning

The heart of Manchester United came from a clean goal in front of Aston Villa on Sunday, to a three-point victory that renewed the postponement of the coronation of its neighbor, Manchester City, in the thirty-fifth stage of the English Premier League.

On the "Villa Park" stadium, United scored a hat-trick by Bruno Fernandes (52), Mason Greenwood (56), and the Uruguayan Edinson Cavani (87), while Burkina Faso Bertrand Traore scored the Aston Villa goal (24).

With that result, the "Red Devils" team raised its score to 70 points in second place, while Aston Villa's balance stuck at 48 points in eleventh place.

This is the second postponement of City’s coronation within two days, after Chelsea had postponed the first victory on Saturday with a fatal 2-1 victory in their own home at the Al-Ittihad Stadium in a match that constituted a rehearsal for the Champions League final.

Norwegian coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said after the match that it was "a great result, and it relieves a little pressure of having to achieve results because the next two teams will be strong."

The Norwegian expressed his happiness because his team showed "personality, flexibility, faith and decency. It is difficult at times (...) It is a long season and I am happy for everyone."

United thus maintained their unbeaten record at Villa Park since 1995, a year before Solskjaer joined the club as a striker at the time.
