Champion Inter celebrates the title with a landslide victory over Sampdoria

Two Alexis Sanchez goals led Inter Milan to celebrate the Serie A title in a wonderful way after a crushing 5-1 victory over Sampdoria at the San Siro stadium on Sunday.

Inter won their first title in 11 years last Sunday after Atlanta failed to beat Sassuolo, and in the first match after being crowned champion, Inter showed no signs of backing away.

Roberto Gagliardini scored the first goal in the fourth minute, before Sanchez scored his first goal of the match from the edge of the penalty area in the 26th minute.

Keita Baldi Diao reduced the lead to Sampdoria in the 35th minute, but Sanchez succeeded directly in placing the ball in the net on the other side, to restore Inter's advantage to two goals.

In the second half, Inter continued their quest to score goals, and young Andrea Pinamonte scored his first goal with the club in the 61st minute, before Lautaro Martinez scored from a penalty kick in the 70th minute to clinch the victory.

And with their third successive league victory, Inter raised their tally to 85, 15 points behind second-placed Atlanta, three games before the end of the season.

Sampdoria remained in ninth place.
