Former and current players have launched several proposals for the ideal application of the footballer career, which the Professional League intends to implement in the future.

The developmental technical affairs workshop of the association, which was held last week, announced that it is in the process of creating a job for a football player in the insurance and pensions system, in coordination with the General Pensions and Social Security Authority, so that the player gets a pension after spending 15 years in the stadiums.

In their interview with Emirates Today, they demanded that the player present a copy of his educational qualifications, and link his participation in the matches to the years of bid specified for the period to which the players ’retirement pension applies, in order to prevent manipulation, according to their description.

They suggested freezing the current jobs of players over the age of 30, and that the new job be applied to players between the ages of 18 and 20.

And they urged the necessity of holding workshops to listen to the players ’proposals in this regard, so that no decisions are issued that harm the players, and that may push many of them to retire.

The former international, Fahd Abdul-Rahman, called on the association to apply the highest quality standards when approving the position of a football player to approve professional contracts for the Arab Gulf League players.

He said, "A player who will get a football job must present his educational qualification, like any job that any other person applies to, and his retirement salary is calculated according to his academic qualification."

He added: "Fahd Khamis was not an exceptional football talent, but he worked on himself distinguished, making himself the historical scorer of the UAE League, and this is thanks to his educational culture, because he has a university degree."

He pointed out: “I say to the League and the Clubs: Do not underestimate the status of education in any decisions or regulations that are approved. Education is what builds the personality of any individual, especially the football player, who must be the most cultured stratum of society, because he represents the state in many international forums, And its ambassador ».

He explained, "Another point that the League and the clubs should pay attention to is calculating the number of matches a player participates in within the 15 years to obtain retirement service. It is inconceivable that any player sits on the bench, or is outside the list, and we count them from years of service."

He pointed out: "I am afraid that emotion will interfere, and the club will renew the player to ensure the completion of his term, and in that case the regulations will be crooked, and it is easy to penetrate, and this is what I do not hope with this big shift that professionalism is expected to witness in the future."

Kalba player, Dawood Ali, suggested holding workshops between the League and the Arab Gulf League players, to listen to their proposals regarding the implementation of the proposal to include the football profession for professional players.

He said: “If we implement the decision without discussing its repercussions, half of the league’s players may leave the competition and devote themselves to their work, as players over 30 years old will not agree to quit their jobs and the government’s jobs to sacrifice them for a few years they will spend in the stadiums, and sacrifice their future for a temporary period. Them in the stadiums, and they will be cut off from them. '

He added: “I suggest that the new proposal be applied to players from 18 to 20 years old who did not get a job opportunity in government departments, while the jobs of players who have current government jobs are frozen until they retire from football, provided that the value of the insurances is obtained from their salaries. From their clubs ».

The players' agent, Munther Ali, confirmed that the association’s decision was at least 10 years late.

He said, "It is better to come late than not. This step will have positive repercussions on the process of professionalism in particular, on opening the door to the job market in general, and enhancing the family life of the players."

He added, "The players’ return will not be limited to the periods in which they engage in football activity only, but their lives and the lives of their families have become well secured, and this may reduce the exaggeration of the players ’annual salaries in order to secure their future."

He pointed out, "This paradigm shift will encourage players to pursue external professionalism, after football becomes their main profession, and this thing our players neglected to think about after the application of internal professionalism, which gave them money that would be difficult to obtain if they worked abroad."

The

League recently discussed creating a “football player job,” so that the player, after spending 15 years in the stadiums, would receive a retirement pension.
