Sven Botman needs two more victories with Lille OSC to outdo the wealthy Paris Saint-Germain and win the league title.

The Northern French club won 0-3 on Friday evening at RC Lens, which is sixth, and thus put the pressure back on the club from Paris.

Burak Yilmaz, who already made a hat-trick for Turkey against Orange last month, was important for Lille in Stade Bollaert-Delelis.

He used a penalty in the fourth minute and scored 0-2 in the 40th minute.

Five minutes before the second goal, Lens had to continue with ten men after the second yellow card and therefore red for Clément Michelin.

After the break Jonathan David signed for the 0-3 final score.

Botman played the entire match for the leader of the Ligue 1, who was eliminated by Ajax in the sixteenth finals of the Europa League.

With two games to go, Lille is four points ahead of PSG, but the Paris club will still play against Stade Rennes on Sunday.

If Lille wins at home from Saint-Étienne next week and wins at Angers the following week, the fourth league title in club history is a fact.

Lille's last title was in 2011

The last time Lille became champions was in 2011, when Eden Hazard was the main player.

The title went to PSG seven times in the last eight years.

Only AS Monaco managed to break through the hegemony of the Parisians.

In the 2017/2018 season, Lille almost relegated from Ligue 1. The club then finished seventeenth, but a recovery followed in recent seasons with a second and fourth place.

Rennes against PSG starts on Sunday at 9 p.m. in Stade Roazhon Park.

The reigning champion then plays at home against Stade Reims and closes the season with a game against Brest.
