19-year-old Clara Ternström started with figure swimming as a seven-year-old and has previously represented Sweden at the junior European Championships.

During the European Championships in Budapest next week, Klara will compete in both free and technical solo.

During the corona pandemic, she has only been able to compete via digital competitions and is therefore looking forward to the European Championships.

- To be able to compete again and get to a big arena, skilled judges and be able to show what we have worked with, it will be great fun, says Ternström.

What are your goals at the European Championships?

- I want to perform as well as possible, I would like to improve from the points I have received on the senior side now.

A little hope I have, then we will see if it is now or later, is to get 75 a few points more than before.

I get to show what I have worked on and the strengths I have and try to show that Sweden is in the game.

Ternström is the first Swedish participant at the European Championships in figure swimming since 2014, and this is the first time Sweden has participated with a solo at the European Championships since 2012.
