The aftermath of Tom Wilson's attack on Pavel Butjnevich and Artemij Panarin has only grown.
Following the incident on Monday, Rangers published a statement in which they strongly opposed the league and its disciplinary committee.
It even went so far as to demand the removal of the head of the disciplinary committee, George Parros.
Now the league is responding - and you do it hard.
The New York Rangers will be fined $ 250,000 for their statement and the NHL does not tailor the words in its press release.
"We do not expect our clubs to agree with all decisions made by the disciplinary committee, but to the extent that Rangers expressed their disagreement is unacceptable.
It is terribly unfair to question George Parro's professionalism and commitment to his role. "
