Due to the 0-1 loss of Sevilla against Athletic Bilbao, there seem to be three clubs left after Monday evening in the very tense Spanish title fight.

Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui blamed the defeat in the arbitration.

Immediately after the final whistle, Lopetegui approached referee Gil Manzano.

The discussion continued into the players' tunnel, where the coach even received a yellow card.

As a result, Lopetegui has been suspended for the top match against Real Madrid.

"We should have had a clear penalty," the coach later said, calmly at the press conference.

"It is incomprehensible that neither the referee nor the VAR saw that."

Lopetegui aimed at a moment in the 52nd minute at a 0-0 score.

Sevilla's Jesus Navas sent a cross to Athletic defender Mikel Balenziaga in the penalty area.

The distance between Balenziaga and his opponent was close and the defender kept his arm to the side, leading Manzano to conclude that there was no deliberate hands.

Two top players in La Liga this weekend

Lopetegui did not blame his own players.

"We played well and deserved to win. The best man at Bilbao was goalkeeper Unai Simon, he made five or six very good saves."

The Sevilla coach did not want to give up hope for the title completely.

"We are playing an extraordinary season. There are four games to go and we will try to win them one by one."

"Now we are still very disappointed by the decision of the referee. We ourselves have had some dubious penalties this season. Today it was a clear penalty, but we didn't get it."

This weekend there are two top players among the champion candidates on the program in La Liga.

On Saturday, Barcelona will play at home against leader Atlético and on Sunday, Seville will visit Real Madrid.
