The former coach of Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter Milan or Real Madrid was sacked by Tottenham two weeks ago, due to poor results with the London club.

In the Italian capital, the man who was once nicknamed the "Special One" will have to restore the image of the Louve club, second among the transalpine teams. 

José Mourinho will coach AS Roma from next summer and for the next three seasons, the Italian club said in a statement on Tuesday.

The Portuguese technician, double winner of the Champions League with Porto (2004) and Inter Milan (2010), thus finds Italy after having coached Inter Milan from 2008 to 2010. He was dismissed from his post by Tottenham on April 19, after a string of poor results.
