It was already in February that Falu municipality announced that it will apply to host the World Ski Championships 2027. Now the formal application has been submitted and a campaign work will begin shortly.
- It feels really good that together with the municipality of Falu we have come so far that we have now sent in the application, says Ulrika Back Eriksson who is the campaign leader for the Swedish Ski Association, in a press release.

- We are now finally starting to see the light in the tunnel after the Corona pandemic and that we are now really entering the campaign phase for a World Cup in Falun 2027 is really fun.
The Swedish Ski Association is an experienced and skilled organizer of large events.
In May 2022, FIS will make a decision on who will host the championship.
