In tonight's quarterfinal meeting between Nässjö and Borås, the home team impressed.

The match was even at first but in the second period Nässjö had a big jerk.

They won the second period with a full 31 points and the score at half time was 54-21.

- We go completely on the defensive, this is completely unacceptable, said Borås William Gutenius at half time to SBL Play.

In the second half, Borås came closer and they won the final periods.

But the home team held off, mainly thanks to the duo Keenan Gumbs and Dartaye Ruffin who together accounted for 38 points.

Borås polished the numbers a bit but eventually lost 92-68.

- We do a good job in the second period and it is easy to play when you have momentum, says Nässjö's coach Joakim Kjällman to SBL Play after the match.

Nässjö now leads the match series 2-1 in matches and can now decide the match series at home on 29 April.

Even Norrland duel

The Norrland duel between Jämtland and Luleå was even and the teams each dominated the period in the first half.

Luleå played at a high pace and initially got the match where they wanted with their aggressive attacking play.

But Jämtland came back, mainly through Aleksa Solevic who scored a couple of important two-pointers.

The score at half time was 44-43 to the home team.

- We were sloppy in the beginning but we picked it up, said Jämtland's Pierre Hampton to SBL Play.

Before the final period, the match stood and weighed with the position 68-66 on the scoreboard.

The teams followed each other all the way to the end.

With 26 seconds left, the score was 90-88 and Jämtland had the chance to puncture the match, but they both missed their penalty throws.

Luleå turned and put a quick two-pointer to 90-90.

Jämtland got the last attack and then Aleksa Solevic stepped forward and put the decisive two-pointer just when the final signal went.

Jämtland now leads the match series with 2-1 and can decide the match series on Thursday.
