The Bordeaux football club has been deprived of finance for several days after the withdrawal of its main American shareholder.

To help him, billionaire François Pinault on Monday launched an appeal to the owners of great Bordeaux wines, who seem to welcome the idea of a recovery.

The businessman and billionaire François Pinault, owner of Château Latour, called on his "fellow owners of Bordeaux Grands Crus" to come together for a plan to take over the Girondins.

After being let go by its main American shareholder King Street, the L1 club found itself without a financier.

Placed under the protection of the Bordeaux Commercial Court, he is now assisted by an ad hoc representative in his search for a lasting solution.

And then it would be dramatic for Bordeaux to go down to the second division or finally file for bankruptcy. It is the addition of the participations of the greatest number which will make that there will be a consequent sum ", he judged.
