Bayern Munich have started negotiations to recruit young Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann to replace Hansi Flick next season, two German media said on Sunday, speaking of a record sum under discussion.

, Leipzig, Munich's main rival this year in the national championship, is however asking for 30 million euros to release Nagelsmann, 33, under contract in Saxony until 2023.

If such an amount ends up being paid, it would make it the most expensive recruiting ever for a club coach, according to both media.
Discussions are shaping up to be tight, however, as Hansi Flick is himself under contract in Munich until 2023. He recently asked to step down at the end of this season due to disagreements with club management over politics. recruitment, but he still has to find an amicable agreement.
