Parts of the Russian cross-country national team travel to Sweden to train.

Preparations for the Olympic Games in Beijing 2022, which is next season's major championship, begin in Torsby, Värmland, where there is a 1.3-kilometer ski tunnel.

- We will have our first camp between 17 and 31 May.

Normally we go to Norway, but due to the pandemic the country is still closed.

And in Torsby there is a complete training center, says coach Danil Akimov to Tass.

The Russian squad going to Torsby consists of Sergei Ardashev, Kirill Kilvnyuk, Andrei Melnichenko, Ilya Porochkin, Ilya Semikov, Anton Tymashov, Artem Nikolaev, Ivan Yakimuchin and Andrei Larkov.

31-year-old Larkov won two medals at the last Olympic Games in Pyeongchang - bronze in the five-mile and silver in the relay.

The Beijing Olympics will be decided between February 4 and 20, 2022.
