Third division team Dynamo Dresden has split from coach Markus Kauczinski.

As the club announced on Sunday, sports director Ralf Becker informed the coach of the decision.

It fell one day after the 0: 3 in the east duel against Halleschen FC.

The Saxons had been leading the third division table for a long time, but lost more and more points in recent games.

With two catch-up games due to a corona quarantine, they are currently only fourth.

The two co-trainers Heiko Scholz and Ferydoon Zandi led the training on Sunday.

At first it was not known who will take responsibility on the bench in the remaining games.

There should be a board meeting on Sunday to talk about a new coach.

The favorite for the post should be Torsten Ziegner, who last coached Halleschen FC.

The former coach of Türkgücü Munich, Alexander Schmidt, is also traded.

Contract extension was delayed

“There are now six games left for us in which we absolutely want to achieve our goal of promotion to the second division.

We have to win games again as soon as possible.

For this we will now mobilize all our strength again, ”said Becker.

With the change of coach, the aim was to “set new impulses in the most important phase of the season in order to achieve our goal.” Kauczinski still had a contract until the end of the season.

Apparently those responsible had not trusted him anyhow.

Those responsible for Dynamo had recently repeatedly postponed an extension of the working paper.
