The second day of the Tokyo Olympic torch relay will be held in Oita Prefecture on the 24th, starting in Kusu Town in the western part of the prefecture and reaching the goal in Oita City.

Around the plaza at the goal point, a curtain with a height of about 3 meters will be installed to avoid crowding of people, and it will continue to be implemented while taking measures against the new coronavirus.

On the 24th, the second day of the torch relay in Oita Prefecture, 89 runners will run in nine cities and towns, including Kusu Town, Usuki City, and Oita City, starting at 10 am in Kusu Town in the western part of the prefecture.



In Usuki City, the successor to the old-fashioned swimming method "Yamauchi-ryu", which has been handed down from the Edo period, swims in the river with a torch and carries the torch.



Rino Sashihara, a local talent, will be the runner in the final section of Oita City.
