About the Tokyo Olympics Holy Fire Relay The Games Organizing Committee has announced that it will hold relays on public roads in eight prefectures from Yamaguchi to Shiga from May 13 to 28.


However, since a state of emergency will be issued to Hyogo and Kyoto prefectures, the implementation method will be changed depending on the future infection situation including other areas.

The Tokyo Olympic Torch Relay, the organizing committee has decided to determine how to implement the prospect of a month ago divided the whole country to block.



On the 23rd, it was announced that eight prefectures, Yamaguchi, Shimane, Hiroshima, Okayama, Tottori, Hyogo, Kyoto, and Shiga, scheduled from May 13th to 28th, will be relayed on public roads as scheduled.



However, of these prefectures, Hyogo prefecture on May 23 and 24 and Kyoto prefecture scheduled to be implemented on May 25 and 26 will be declared a state of emergency, so the Organizing Committee has decided. In addition, Tottori Prefecture is proposing to shorten the route of the torch relay by almost half for infection control and budget reduction, and is coordinating with the Organizing Committee.
