Mute so far, the American bank JPMorgan supposed to finance the launch of the late Super League, has all the same ended up coming out of silence.

In a terse press release, the latter admitted on Friday having "clearly misjudged" the secessionist project imagined by the Pérez-Agnelli duo.

“We clearly misjudged how this operation would be perceived by the wider football world and the impact it would have in the future.

We will learn the lessons, ”said a spokesperson for JPMorgan.

It's quite funny to see the New York-based holding company, involved in numerous scandals in recent decades (including the very high profile Madoff affair) and largely at the origin of the subprime crisis in 2008, explain to us that she will learn from her mistakes.

But hey, the benefit of the doubt, all that, all that.
