The funeral of PSV icon Willy van der Kuijlen is on Saturday in the Philips Stadium.

Only a limited number of invitees are welcome, but supporters can watch online from 12:00 noon.

Van der Kuijlen died on Monday at the age of 74.

The born Brabander, one of the best Dutch football players ever and top scorer of all time in the Eredivisie, had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease for some time.

Between 1964 and 1981, Van der Kuijlen played 528 league games for PSV and scored no fewer than 308 times.

'Skiete Willy' was also three times accurate for MVV in the 1981/1982 season and is the top scorer of all time in the Eredivisie with 311 goals.

After his career, Van der Kuijlen worked in various positions at PSV, including assistant coach and scout.

'Mister PSV' always remained involved with the club and, as a tradition, was present for many years at the presentation of new players, who received their first shirt from the hands of the club icon.

Although fans cannot attend the funeral, PSV does offer them the opportunity to say goodbye.

A walking route has been set out in the stadium where relics or flowers can be placed.

There is also an option to sign a condolence register.

The walking route is open every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Friday.

Supporters already put a lot of flowers at the statue of Willy van der Kuijlen this week.
