The semi-final series between Falun and Kalmarsund has been paused since April 15 due to corona outbreaks in both teams.

On Monday, however, the message came from the Swedish Floorball Association that the match will resume on Tuesday next week.

Falun star Alexander Galante Carlström thinks it is too early.

- The virus is serious and the union's decision is pure idiocy.

They expose us to an enormous risk, says Galante Carlström to Dalarnas Tidning.

Stresses players to come back

At present, the plan is for match 5 and a possible match 6 to be played in Kalmarsund on 27 and 28 April.

A possible match 7 will be played in Falun on Friday 30 April.

Galante Carlström believes that this stresses players to return after illness.

- I have a friend who plays at a lower level and went back too early in training after he had had corona.

He was admitted to the emergency room with heart problems for almost three weeks.

To think that we will play a semifinal on Tuesday when we are in quarantine until Friday-Saturday.

Everyone understands that it is unacceptable.

It is a strange decision that is based only on the commercial and ignores us individuals completely, he says and adds:

- We players are just tiles in this, it feels like the association ignores our health.

"Unthinkable to play a match on Tuesday"

The 32-year-old is himself one of the players who fell ill as a result of covid-19.

- You immediately feel that something is wrong.

I can not even play with my son for 20 seconds.

It has been a difficult period.

The body does not feel good today so right now it feels completely unthinkable to play a match on Tuesday.

It will not be really the right conditions, he says.

Falun leads the semifinal series with 3-1 in matches.

Storvreta is already ready for the final, which for the men will be played on 2 May.

The women's final will be played as planned on April 24.
