The PCR tests carried out at the beginning of the week revealed several positive cases for Covid-19 within the workforce of the Union Bordeaux-Bègles.
In accordance with the protocol in force in Top 14, the medical expertise commission of the LNR (national rugby league) decided on Tuesday to postpone the Agen-UBB match, counting for the 21st day and scheduled for Saturday.
There would be at least two positive players for the British variant, says
RMC Sport.
Two frontline players who would have played last weekend against Racing 92 in the Champions Cup quarter-finals.
It will therefore also be necessary to monitor the situation on the Ile-de-France side in the coming days.
As a precaution, UBB training has been suspended and will resume in small groups depending on the results of the next tests that will be carried out.
🚨 As part of the follow-up of the professional group, several players tested positive for Covid-19 at the start of the week, resulting in the postponement of our match in Agen initially scheduled for Saturday, April 17.

Montpellier-Toulon also postponed
Since the start of the season, UBB had only been impacted once by the virus, in October before the match against Clermont which had been postponed to mid-January.
Two players were affected, internationals Cameron Woki and Matthieu Jalibert.
Earlier this week, the match between Montpellier and Toulon, scheduled for this Saturday, was postponed after the announcement of several positive cases of Covid-19 in the ranks of the Var.
