During the years 2014 to 2018, 102 bets on the woman's matches were placed from accounts linked to her husband.

Of those games, 97 have paid dividends.

94 of the games involved the woman losing one point.

The stakes per game have been relatively low, but the tennis match-fixing body Tennis Integrity Unit, together with a betting company, noticed the pattern and based on that, they have since investigated the matter and in early March charges were brought.

Among the manipulated matches are both matches in Båstad and in tournaments abroad.

The man is charged with giving a bribe and the woman with taking a bribe.

Prosecutor Staffan Edlund makes an assessment of what a conviction can lead to:

- These are quite old events and it's not about a lot of money.

Bribery of a caliber is usually not at prison level, he says.

Both defendants deny the crime and say they have not done anything illegal.
