Three swimmers currently have an Olympic place.

Sarah Sjöström, Erik Persson and Louise Hansson are ready for Tokyo this summer.

In May, another chance will pass SOK's qualifying limit for the Olympic Games.

On 17-24 May, the European Long Distance Championships will be held in Budapest.

Due to the corona pandemic, many of the Swedish swimmers have not had the opportunity to compete.

Therefore, the European Championships will be a significant chance to beat the qualifying limit.

- It will be important.

Erik Persson, Michelle Coleman, Louise Hansson and Sarah Sjöström, who were part of ISL last autumn, have competed recently.

But the others have not competed in anything.

So it will be very important to feel this hot air and I think there are more who will take the chance and swim fast, says national team captain Ulrika Sandmark to SVT Sport.

Sophie Hansson is waiting for the Olympic announcement

During the European Championships in Budapest, Sandmark believes that Michelle Coleman, Robin Hansson and Björn Seeliger will take the chance.

- But I think that everyone who is there will take it for granted, I am convinced of that.

Sophie Hansson, who on Sunday passed SOK's qualifying limit for the Olympics, has not yet got a place yet.

- I have nominated her but then it is SOK who takes her out.

I think there will be a competition on April 24, then I hope she will be there.

After the long-distance European Championships, there will be at least two chances to beat the Olympic qualifying limit.

In June, competitions are first held in Spain and finally in Italy.
