Al-Wehda inaugurates his "Asian Journey" with a surprise defeat

Al-Wahda lost its first match in the AFC Champions League today, against Iranian Pirozzi, with a goal, in the confrontation that brought them together at the Indian Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, for the fifth group of the tournament.

The captain of Peruzzi, Sayed Jalal, scored the only goal of the match in the 40th minute.

Al-Wehda gave a distinguished performance throughout the two halves of the match, and was a strong match for the Iranian team, as its players succeeded in controlling the rhythm of the match through good organization, especially in the middle of the field, so they closed all the outlets that Pirozzi could reach, for goalkeeper Rashid Ali.

Al Wahda striker Matavz missed many achieved chances, and also blamed Al Wahda players for rushing.

The Al-Annabi defense fell into the forbidden, when Amid Aalishah passed from the left side and prepared the ball for Sayed Jalal, who in turn fired from outside the box and the goalkeeper's attempts to stop it, ending the first half at that result.

Al-Wahda players protested in the 90th minute to demand a penalty kick, after its player Omar Khribin was blocked by defender Hussein Kanani, but to no avail.
