With 3-2 in matches, Timrå could tonight make it to the hockey allsvenskan final where the winner takes a place in the SHL for next season.
That chance was taken.
After, among other things, double powerplay goals, they won 3-0.
- Västervik is doing well, they are making it difficult for us.
Terribly nice victory, it can not get better, says Timrås Sebastian Hartmann in C More.
Timrå took the lead in the middle of the first period.
As so many times before, it was Jonathan Dahlén who netted.
In powerplay, he was able to control 1-0 at close range on an assist from Jens Lööke.
In the middle of the second period, the lead was extended.
Jacob Olofsson shot in 2-0 on a long shot a good distance from goal.
With just under two minutes, the nail in the coffin for Västervik came when Sebastian Hartmann put 3-0 in an empty cage.
"We will take the SHL place"
Timrå is thus ready for the hockey allsvenskan final where they will face either Björklöven or Karlskoga.
- We have set a goal that we will take the SHL place, says Sebastian Hartmann.
Hartmann says that it does not matter who you face in the final.
- If you want to get up, you have to beat all the teams.
We will do our best and we will see how far it goes.
