Universities and others have announced that 29 members of the sumo club of Nihon University, a powerful amateur sumo wrestler, have been found to have been infected with the new coronavirus.

According to Suginami Ward, where the dormitories of Nihon University and the university's sumo club are located, it was discovered that 29 sumo members had been infected with the new coronavirus by the 13th.



According to the university, the members who became positive under the guidance of the health center have been quarantined, and the sumo club has stopped working.



Nihon University commented, "We will reinforce student guidance and work with related organizations such as health centers to prevent the spread of infection."
