2013, 2015, 2018, 2019 and now 2021. These are Niklas Edin's five World Cup golds in his career.

According to the 35-year-old himself, the latest was something extra.

- The feeling is unreal.

It has been a trying season.

They went into this championship with a little extra pressure and a little nerve, but we really delivered, he says after the first championship since the corona pandemic broke out was over.

What is it that makes you stand your ground?

- I would say that all four of us are extreme winners.

There is a lot at stake and then it is difficult to stop us.

We make it damn hard for the opponents and we like to have the pressure on us.

When it really matters, we often get our very best, which others may not get.

No individual curling player has previously won five World Cup gold medals.

- It was something you could only dream of early in your career.

It was terribly far away.

Now that we have subscribed to the World Cup gold, the pressure is increasing and each time it gets a little tougher to stand on the podium for the favorite print, but we do not let in the others, says Edin.

It is still something that is missing for Niklas Edin.

At the 2014 Sochi Olympics, he won bronze and four years later silver at Pyeongchang.

- What is missing is of course the Olympic gold and it will be missed until we have won it.

But at the same time, winning an Olympic gold can be a coincidence when you get to a nice week.

Winning three straight World Cup golds and five in total can never be a coincidence.

Then you are dominant for a very long time.

In our sport, we have done something completely unique, which is almost unbeatable.
