In February, Hanna Falk said she was considering ending her career.
Her back problems, which have plagued her since the fall of 2019, were behind those thoughts.
It is required that I get over it if I am to continue, Falk told SVT Sport.
Now Falk writes on Instagram that she is leaving the national team.
"After thinking for a while, I have decided that my last competition in the white national team uniform has gone.
I feel ready for the national team and thus end my investment in traditional skiing ", she writes.
She has been part of the national team for eleven years.
“It has been a dream to belong to the world elite and go to the World Cup, the Olympics and World Cup competitions.
I am proud and happy with what I have achieved there ", she writes on Instagram.
Now she will take it easy for a few weeks and think about the future.
She needs to investigate her back.
“I have always had an ambition and dream of trying out long distance running.
I am curious about how good I can become at stake and really hope to be able to put my teeth into that project next season ”.
