When Sweden faces the world's best national team at Friends arena tomorrow, the national team captain sees it as if Blågult has "a perfect position".

All 25 players have trained fully in recent days and several foreign professionals have shown good form in their club teams.

- A lot has to go wrong to beat such a tough opponent, but I think that both I and the players have the feeling that we can win, says Peter Gerhardsson.

Burning loss

With an upcoming Olympics, it is close at hand to rewind the clock to the latest Olympics in Rio 2016. Then Sweden won a penalty shooter against ISA in the quarterfinals - a loss that still hurts for the national team which now has 37 straight victories.

- It is clear that it hurts incredibly much for them, considering that we did it in the Olympics.

They know that we are an incredibly good team and that they have respect for us.

But they should have forgotten that match instead of talking about it, says team captain Caroline Seger.

Chelsea defender Magdalena Eriksson would like to see a new win against the big team but does not think it is the primary thing tomorrow.

- If you can raw and win against the world's best ranked team, it's a huge boost, but the most important thing is how the match picture looks.

We take that with us.

The most important thing is that we are the best in the Olympics.

SVT's expert: "Every minute important"

SVT's expert Markus Johannesson believes that Gerhardsson will play with an eleven that is as close to a regular Olympic team as possible.

- He probably wants to test players but not replace the whole team but put one or two players as close to a regular team as possible so that they will have a fair environment.

And I agree with that.

It is difficult as a new player to get into a completely new eleven and try to perform for an Olympic place.

Johannesson is also of the opinion that this collection, where Poland is also waiting away on Tuesday, is very important.

- I think the whole collection is very important for the next collection in June, it's so late.

Then it's about delivering in the series and staying injury free.

But every minute to show up for the national team captain is very important because so few players are allowed to go to the Olympics.

SVT broadcasts Sweden-USA in SVT2 / Play 19.00 on Saturday.
