St. Louis Ryan O'Reilly scored the second hat-trick of his NHL career and was noted for an assist as St. Louis played home a win over Minnesota.

- I do not know what to say.

This is not us.

We did not come out prepared I think.

It was a bad match, says Jonas Brodin at the press conference after the match.

Jaden Schwartz scored two goals.

Finnish goalkeeper Kaapo Kähkönen had to stand the match out in the Minnesota cage and managed to save 29 shots - but nine went in.

- It was not a fun experience.

It was embarrassing for myself, says Kähkönen.

Brodin does not think the 24-year-old goalkeeper needs to bear too much of the shame.

- It's tough to see.

He has been playing well lately.

We did not help him much, or not at all, today, says Brodin.

New chance

Already the night before Sunday Swedish time, the teams meet again in Saint Louis, and a third time the night before Tuesday, that time in Minnesota's hometown Saint Paul.

But Brodin thinks it's a good thing.

- Especially after a match like this, it is good that we play tomorrow, so that we can forget about this match and get back to our game.

So, what should Minnesota do to prevent history from happening again?

- We in the defense must be tighter and squeeze them against the rim a little better when they enter the offensive zone, and be prepared, says Jonas Brodin.
