Memphis Depay helped Olympique Lyon to a place in the quarter finals of the Coupe de France on Thursday.
The Orange-international scored the second goal for his club in the eighth final against third divisionist Red Star FC (2-2), which was won after penalties.
Memphis made it 0-2 on the stroke of half time by tapping in a cross from Lucas Paquetá.
The attacker scored his 22nd goal of this season for Lyon.
In the Ligue 1 he is on fourteen hits.
Paquetá had opened the score after half an hour in the Stade Bauer in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, a suburb of Paris.
In the second half, Red Star, which plays in the Championnat National, surprisingly fought back.
Pape Meïssa Ba scored the tying goal after more than an hour and Jimmy Roye brought his team alongside fifteen minutes before the end.
At the time of the 2-2 Memphis had already been substituted.
No more runs were then scored in regular time, which meant that a penalty shootout had to be made.
In that, Lyon took the longest with 5-4.
Earlier, Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco, among others, qualified for the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France.
