The semi-final series between Umeå and Luleå continued on Wednesday.

Luleå won the first meeting at home 80-69.

When it was time for the return tonight, it was a new home victory.

This time for Umeå.

In addition, Janee Thompson got revenge after her weak finish in the first semifinal.

On Monday, Thompson kicked off the match and scored 20 points in the first half but zero in the second.

Today it was the opposite.

The American scored five points in the first half but 16 in the second and she was also the one who decided.

Punished at the end

Umeå led large parts of the match but when only one minute remained, their lead was down to just one point.

But then Isabelle Edholm put a third and gave Umeå a good position before the last decisive seconds.

With 14 seconds left, Janee Thompson put a penalty throw and Umeå went up to 90 points against 84.

Luleå had time for a three-pointer but they did not get any closer and Umeå won 90 -87.

Luleå's Maggie Lucas, who was the best scorer in the last match, did not reach the same level at all and only accounted for eight points.

It was instead Luleå's Matilda Ekh who with her 28 points was the best tonight.

It is now 1-1 in the match series which is played in the best of five and continues with the match in Luleå on Friday.
