Dortmund lose Mukoko until the end of the season

The season of Borussia Dortmund, 16-year-old German striker Joshua Mukoko, has ended, after his team announced that he had a leg injury, on Monday, on the eve of the confrontation with Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals in football.

Mukoko suffered a tear at the level of the ligaments in his foot, during his participation in the exercises with the German U-21 national team last month, after he became the youngest player to participate in the history of the Champions League (16 years and 18 days).

He will miss the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, in addition to the rest of Dortmund's matches this season.

He missed the loss of his team on Saturday at home against Eintracht Frankfurt (1-2), as Dortmund stood seven points from the last qualifying spots in the Champions League, seven games before the end of the Bundesliga season.

And last November, Mukoko became the youngest player in the history of the German League, a day after he turned sixteen.

He also became the youngest scorer in the league at 16 years and 28 days after he scored against Union Berlin on December 18, and has so far scored 3 goals in 14 matches.
