Wolfsburg easily made it to the semifinals, including winning the round of 16 final against Bochum with a full 11-0.

In the semis, clearly tougher opposition awaited in the form of Bayern Munich with Hanna Glas and Amanda Ilestedt in the starting eleven.

But Wolfsburg took command immediately.

13 minutes into the match, Alexandra Popp put 1-0 and just before half time netted Ewa Pajor and Wolfsburg went to the break in a 2-0 lead.

The second half was goalless and Wolfsburg won 2-0 and is thus on to the cup final where they face Frankfurt.

Blomqvist played the whole match but Rolfö got to see the match from the bench.

It is Bayern's first loss since August 22, 2020 when they lost to Lyon in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Bayern top the league, five points ahead of Wolfsburg.

All four Swedes in the match have been selected for the national team gathering which starts on Monday.
