First December, Rebecka Blomqvist scored her first national team goal and just days later she left Gothenburg FC, which has now become BK Häcken, to join German Wolfsburg.

There she has now started to make her way into the starting eleven and on Sunday she took part in taking the team to the final of the German Cup by beating the giant Bayern Munich.

- I am very happy and grateful.

It's great to feel the trust of the leaders and the girls.

I have had to play a lot and of course it feels good.

I have been able to get into it and it helps a lot to get to know all the players on the pitch and learn the game idea, says Blomqvist to SVT Sport.

- I feel that I have ended up in a good place and they have received me well.

Connects with a good feeling

On Monday, the women's national team begins its gathering where matches against the USA and Poland await.

A gathering that will be an important opportunity for 23-year-old Blomqvist to get into the national team properly.

Blomqvist has started in five of the last six club team matches and comes to the collection with a good feeling.

- I have good self-confidence.

It is clear that one is lifted by gaining confidence.

And I feel a trust from Peter (Gerhardsson, national team captain) and Magnus (Wikman, assistant national team captain) and I am of course very happy about that too.

I feel like I want to get there and show myself and show what I have hopefully developed during these months that I have been down here.

"Has gotten better and better"

What do you feel you have developed during your time in Wolfsburg?

- I feel that I have been able to change environment and still be able to continue to use the style of play I have with going in depth.

And to play both as a striker and as mine, today I played on the left wing.

It is clear that that flexibility is something I have wanted to increase.

It has gotten better and better, says Blomqvist.

Blomqvist has six international matches on the merit list so far.

Now she is focusing on and she is looking forward to another national team gathering where a meeting with the great nation USA is first on the schedule.

- It is always special to be able to represent your country.

This is the first time I get to meet the United States as well.

It is of course awesome and an experience for me.

Sweden's home match against the USA on April 10 is broadcast on SVT2 and SVT Play.
