It was a star-studded final in the desert where two Swedes started: Johan Kristoffersson in a team with Molly Taylor from Australia and Timmy Hansen who competes with Catie Munnings.

The third crew consisted of rally legend Sébastian Loeb and Cristina Gutiérrez.

Johan Kristoffersson - three-time world champion in rallycross - opened strongly and handed over to Taylor in a big lead.

The Australian first extended the distance to the competitors but then took it easy to secure the victory.

Down to second Timmy Hansen and Catie Munnings, it was almost 24 seconds apart.

Extreme E is a new championship that is driven by electric cars and is decided in five sub-competitions, in different places in the world with different surfaces and climates.
